WHY?
Our students are showing growth in math, but many of them are not at grade level.
We were in the 42nd percentile in math on CMAS last year, and to meet expectations, we need to be above the 50th percentile. We can do it, but we need your help! Zearn is one tool we are using to help close the gap.
We have work to do to get them caught up while still learning new grade level concepts. Zearn is one way to do it, but we need your help at home. We are better together! Thank you for your support!
HOMEWORK
In order for Zearn to be effective, students need to put in some time. We will use it here at school during Advisory for 30 minutes per week, and math teachers will use it as periodically as well.
Your student needs to work on Zearn for one hour per week at home. They earn badges for completing "missions".
We will reward students as they earn badges. They can earn ROARS raffle tickets for each badge they complete and 10 tickets for completing a mission to increase their chances of winning cool Bobcat gear!
Students enjoy some tea and conversation!
